To improve institutional effectiveness,

the Project on Academic Success, directed by Don Hossler, conducts research on education practice and education policy on diverse factors, including income, race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic background, that affect the postsecondary academic success outcomes of college and university students, with particular research emphasis on persistence, retention, graduation, and equal access by students of color, minorities, and other diversity groups seeking higher education or postsecondary education at two-year college, four-year college, or university.
